Police today appealed for witnesses after a woman was robbed in Radley.

The 51-year-old woman was walking along Thrupp Lane when she was approached by a man who said he had a knife and demanded she hand over her iPod and keys. The woman did and the man ran off.

The robbery happened at about 9am on Saturday, but details were only released today.

The robber was white, in his late teens, slim build and tall.

He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood pulled over his head, with silver writing printed on the front that took up most of the front of the jumper.

The man was also wearing a black or dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms and white trainers which had a large protruding tongue. He was riding a small black bicycle which had chunky stunt pegs on either side of the bike on both the front and back wheels.

Det Con Jon Shaw said: “The victim was left shaken by what happened to her. While the man threatened her with a knife, no weapon was actually seen during the robbery.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen anything, or who has any information about this incident, to come forward and speak to me.”
