Police today released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with an alleged abduction in Oxford.

At around 7pm on Friday, a member of the public reported seeing a man being bundled into a small vehicle outside the Cape of Good Hope pub in Cowley Road.

Det Con Rob Barratt said: “The CCTV image is of the man we believe was bundled into the back of the car against his will.

"I appeal to anyone who recognises him and knows of his whereabouts to get in touch as we have had no reports of a missing man of this description.

“If you were in this area on Friday evening and witnessed the incident to contact police immediately.”

Anyone with information that could assist police enquiries is urged to contact Det Con Barratt via Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
