A list of people convicted of offences at magistrates' courts around the county recently:

Andrew Lennon, 28, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a set of nail clippers and a Philips grooming kit valued at £27.48 from Boots in Oxford on April 13 and shoplifting two perfume box sets valued at £68.52 from Debenhams in Oxford on April 20. Jailed for eight weeks due to previous convictions and offences committed on bail.

Keith Booker, 30, of Nowell Road, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. Given an additional one month’s drug-rehabilitation order.

Jordan Higham, 19, of Park Side, Cuddesdon, admitted theft of a number plate in Chalgrove on April 17; driving while disqualified and without insurance in Cuddesdon on April 16; aggravated vehicle taking in Garsington on April 19; taking a motor vehicle without consent in Wheatley on April 17; and failing to comply with a suspended sentence. Thirteen other offences also taken into consideration.

Jailed for four months due to “sheer number of offences and havoc caused in local area to many car owners”. Offences also committed under licence and breaching probation order. Banned from driving for two years.

Michael Poore, 45, of Chorefields, Kidlington, convicted of using a mobile phone while driving and driving without a licence in Banbury Road, Oxford, on September 17. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Also given three penalty points.

Isaac Latchman, 18, of Nowell Road, Oxford, admitted theft by an employee of £100 cash from Tesco in Botley on March 14. Given a six-month youth-rehabilitation order and told to pay £40 costs. No compensation ordered as defendant has repaid the money.

David Phillips, 57, of Manor Wood Gate, Shiplake, convicted of being a driver not in position to have proper control of a car in Fairmile, Henley-on-Thames, on September 2, by having a mobile phone in his left hand while resting it on the steering wheel and unfolding a piece of paper in his right hand. Fined £100, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Natasha Blackford, 18, of Rookery Close, Shippon, admitted assault by beating in Didcot on October 23. Fined £100, £85 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Shaun Escott, 19, of St Peter’s Road, Didcot, admitted possession of 19 wraps of cocaine, a Class A drug, with intent to supply, in Didcot on September 28. Ordered to complete 300 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £85 costs.

Alan Armstrong, 21, of Couldrey Close, Abingdon, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. Given an additional 10 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £35 costs.

Patrick Lawrence, 32, of Norfolk Road, Reading, admitted theft of metal items in Didcot on June 29, 2008, and two counts of failing to answer bail. Given 70 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £100 costs.

Carlos Rodrigues, 35, of Bridge Street, Witney, admitted failing as a vehicle driver to provide a specimen for analysis in Abingdon on Christmas Eve. Given 200 hours’ unpaid work, banned from driving for three years and told to pay £100 costs.

Michael Carty, 45, of Warborough Road, Shillingford, admitted shoplifting eight cans of lager and a bottle of cider valued at £14.49 from Waitrose in Wallingford on March 25. Fined £100, £85 costs, a £15 victims’ surcharge and told to pay £14.49 compensation.

Natasha Elderfield, 36, of Francis Little Drive, Abingdon, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place, namely Abingdon High Street, on April 2. Fined £50, £25 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Lee Frampton, 28, of Foxhall Road, Didcot, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place, namely The Broadway, Didcot, on April 3. Fined £30, £25 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Kris Manclark, 35, of High Street, Long Wittenham, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Didcot on April 5. Jailed for 34 weeks due to offence committed while on a suspended sentence. Told to pay £1,500 compensation and £85 costs.

Mark Nobbs, 31, of School Lane, Appleford, admitted possession of heroin, a Class A drug, in Sunningwell on March 8. Fined £200, £85 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Martin Jenkins, 22, of Foxdown Terrace, Wellington, Somerset, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place, namely Coopers Lane in Abingdon, on April 3, and committing a further offence while subject to a suspended sentence. Fined £25, £50 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge. Also given a five-day back-to-employment requirement.
