By 10.30pm station staff were queueing outside the Spiceball Leisure Centre to deliver the Banbury constituency ballot boxes.
But the official counting is not expected to start until around 2am, pushing the expected time of the result back to between 4am and 5am.
All Banbury constiuency candidates are yet to arrive, save for Labour's Les Sibley.
