Residents in almshouses in Church Street, Sutton Courtenay, suffered a two-hour power cut when a rotten tree fell on a cable yesterday at about 5pm.
Duncan MacDonald, a spokesman for Southern Electric, said: “A rotten tree came down and brought down the service cable.
“The cable was supplying two cottages and our staff managed to fix the fault by 7pm.”
