A HOST of entertainers will perform in a springtime concert next Saturday.

April in Song will be held at Witney Methodist Church, in High Street, from 7.30pm.

Choir Voice Box and duo Anything Goes will both perform at the event, in aid of the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture.

Guest fiddler Ed Harnett will also make an appearance at the concert of folk, gospel and show-stoppers.

Voice Box was formed by Lesley Morris and Keith Harris six years ago.

The choir, which now has more than 40 members, performs songs from madrigals to musicals and Bach to the Beatles.

Anything Goes is also made up of singer Mrs Morris and pianist and guitarist Mr Harris. They perform opera, folk and show tunes, along with other genres.

Mrs Morris said: “It’s a very enthusiastic and well-presented choir. We do some gospel, songs from shows – it’s a real variety.

“The choir is very good and has a professional appearance. People usually really like the atmosphere and we perform all around Oxfordshire.”

Tickets cost £8 and can be bought from the Music Stand, in High Street, or on the door.
