THE Vale of White Horse District Council has apologised after residents received polling cards for the general Election which were incorrect.

A printing error led to the inaccuracy.

A council spokesman said: "We are aware that, as a result of a printing error by our contractor, a number of residents in the Vale have received poll cards for the 2010 General Election that include incorrect details concerning which polling station they should cast their vote at.

"Correct replacement poll cards are therefore now being printed and will be posted out to affected residents next week.

"We would like to apologise to anyone affected by this error."
