Sir – I was interested to read John Tanner’s letter (March 25) in which he encouraged a county councillor to “listen to local people”.
Is this the same John Tanner (city executive board member for a cleaner, greener city) who is intent on imposing his ambitions for a wind turbine to be built in Cutteslowe Park?
There has, as yet, been no effective consultation on this project and all local objections have been dismissed, despite the fact that it will blight one of Oxford’s most beautiful parks. Could councillor Tanner possibly follow his own advice and start listening to local people?
