BANBURY Twenty and Buckingham Town failed to make the most of being the only sides in action in the top flight on Saturday.
With the other four games being rained off, a win for either side would have taken them top of the fledgling league table.
Town's decision to bat first looked a mistake as excellent opening spells from former Oxfordshire captain Keith Arnold (4-47) and Aussie Andrew Grubich sent them crashing to 50-6.
However, Bryn Jones (77) and Greg Pearson (40) came together to add 98 for the seventh wicket and take the home side to 176 all out.
Left-arm spinner Steve Hart wrapped up the innings with 3-32.
Skipper John Wright's 33 gave Twenty hope of victory, but Jason Ell's fine spell of 4-25 from ten overs left the visitors hanging on for a draw at 118-8.
Buckingham Town 15, Banbury Twenty 14
The only other game to start saw Oxford 2nd choose to bowl first after winning the toss away to Milton Keynes Park, but play was called off after just 4.4 overs with Park on 9-0.
The fixtures between Banbury 2nd and Aston Rowant, Oxford Downs and Dinton, and Shipton-under-Wychwood and Challow & Childrey were all abandoned without a ball being bowled.
All eight sides receive ten points.
