I must express my point of view on your article on Angela Dublin's prison sentence for causing death by dangerous driving in the Oxford Eastern Bypass crash (Oxford Mail, April 26).
The case provokes passion and anger. Was her sentence too short? She was tried in a court of law by judge and jury and I feel the sentence was fair.
What would extending the sentence achieve? I understand the parents' anger, but how long is long enough?
How long must she suffer? Where would it end - public flogging? Hanging - would that be enough?
I'm sure Ms Dublin is remorseful for what she has done and she has to live with that for the rest of her life.
She also has to live with the injuries suffered by her son which, I am sure, will tear at her heart for a long time to come.
It wasn't murder or attempted murder - she didn't set out to kill them in cold blood or plan it to happen. It was a terrible accident that should have been avoided, but sadly it wasn't.
