OXFORD University has retained its ranking as the best UK university in the The Guardian newspaper's annual guide, beating Cambridge for a second year running.
Oxford Brookes University came 53rd overall and was named among the top institutions for individual subjects, including anthropology, architecture, social work and tourism.
