Whichever way the result goes tomorrow, it will be a momentous day in the history of Oxford United. The Kassam Stadium will be packed to the rafters as fans urge the team on to a victory that will secure United's place in the football league. Anything less will consign the team to Conference League football.
It is a tough task, for tomorrow's opponents, Leyton Orient, will win promotion to League One if they win.
The new ownership of Oxford United heralded a new dawn for the club. It was rightly celebrated by the fans. It would be a huge anti-climax if that promise was to be snatched away so cruelly and so soon.
United deserve to have luck on their side tomorrow and, with the support of all of us behind them, we trust the players will carry the day. Good luck to Jim Smith and his team.
