CHINNOR can take a big step towards the South West 1 title by defeating nearest rivals Weston-super-Mare at Kingsey Road tomorrow (3).

But coach John Brodley believes their promotion destiny won't be decided until at least the penultimate fixture.

He said: "Whatever the result on Saturday, there's still lots to play for.

"We are at Weston the following week and they have still go Basingstoke and Clifton to play after that.

"I think the league will at least go down to the games on April 8, if not the final Saturday."

Chinnor make just one change to the side that beat Basingstoke, with Sam Soane coming in at centre.

This sees Rewi Tolich revert to the wing and Jamie Hiscock drop to the bench.

Brodley said: "Sam gives us more strength. This is our most experienced back line.

"It's an important game and with home advantage, we would expect to do well.

"We are confident that after last week's performance, we can beat Weston.

"We know Weston are at full strength. I suspect they were holding a few back last week against Clevedon."

Weston are one point behind Chinnor with a game in hand, having lost just once - at Oxford Harlequins.

But the Somerset side's exploits in the Powergen Intermediate Cup mean they must play 'catch-up' fixtures tomorrow and against third-placed Clifton on April 1.

Henley Hawks welcome back skipper James Winterbottom at lock and Chaska Loubers at outside centre when they host National 2 leaders Moseley.

Winterbottom replaces Carl Cimpoias and Loubers comes in for Paul Dunkley.

Witney host Amersham & Chiltern in Southern Counties clash after their original game was cancelled due to a frozen pitch.

Owen Fowler replaces Will Worrall in the back row and Mark Serle comes in for Rikki Dore at loosehead.

Bicester host Oxford Harlequins 2nd in a friendly, but will be without lock Mark Malins for the rest of the season as he has flown to Nepal for a holiday.
