National Division 2: Rory Teague was inches away from being Henley Hawks' match-winner as they lost 32-31 to Harrogate at Dry Leas.
The fly half, nephew of England legend Mike, saw his last-minute drop goal attempt fall just wide, so the visitors held on for their first win of the season.
Teague had already bagged a full house of a try, drop goal, two penalties and a conversion in his 16 point total.
Harrogate scored three tries in the first half-hour through James Tapster, Stephen Parsons and Dickie Davies.
Michael Aspinall converted two and added a penalty, while two Teague penalties and a Dave Tibbott try saw Hawks trail 22-11 at the break.
Tries from flanker Jon Tenconi and Teague saw Henley edge ahead 26-25 after Aspinall had kicked another penalty.
He also converted Parsons's second try, which proved decisive despite Matt Payne's late score.
