Residents in south Oxfordshire are being urged to have a green Christmas.
South Oxfordshire District Council will be giving residents a free recycling sack over the festive season to help minimise waste.
The bag can be used for tins, cans, paper, cardboard and plastic, including paper and Christmas cards.
After Christmas the sacks will be collected with the standard green boxes.
The council's recycling team will be handing out the free sacks, as well as advice on composting leftovers, during the second week of December.
They will be in Wallingford on December 8; and at Tesco in Didcot on December 9. For more information call 01491 823416.
