Oxford City fielded a full team for their second Chiltern League fixture of the season at RAF Halton over an undulating, but fast 10km parkland course on Saturday.

Brian Green led the team home in 16th place, the Vet 45 runner clocking 35mins 2secs.

Trevor Dixon was next home in 36.14, and along with Richard Grant and Mark Tankard, City won the veterans' team race by 40 points.

The outstanding performance of the day, however, came from senior athlete Julian Richardson, who claimed some notable scalps in gaining his first top 50 finish.
