Southern League: Banbury chalked up another vital Southern League premier division win last night.
It came in bizarre circumstances after Evesham's sub keeper Dave Knurek pun- ched the ball into his own net with four minutes to go.
Knurek was on because Evesham No 1 Dave Adey had been sent off after 83 minutes for bringing down Andy Baird.
The Puritans took the lead on the half hour when debutant Murray Nicholls crossed well for Baird to head home.
But five minutes later a terrible backpass from George Redknap allowed John Williams to equalise.
Banbury regained the lead when Baird was brought down in the area and Adi Fuller converted the spot kick. However, Lamb failed to clear and Richard Ball hit Evesham's second.
