The police e-fit Police today issued a computer-generated likeness of a man detectives are hunting after a woman was raped in a car park in Oxford.

The woman was sexually assualted in the Bathing Place car park, off Godstow Road, Wolvercote, at about 2.30am on Friday, October 28.

It was the third reported rape in Oxford last month but police have said they are separate incidents.

The 20-year-old woman and a friend had accepted a lift home from the man outside the Kebab Kid, in Cowley Road.

But instead he took them to the car park and raped one of them. The victim's friend escaped and raised the alarm.

The attacker, who was driving a silver, three-door BMW, is described as being of Asian appearance, in his mid 20s, approximately 5ft 5ins, slim, with dark, spiky hair and was wearing a grey tracksuit and pale polo shirt.

Det Sgt Kevin Elkins, of Oxford CID, said: "I appeal to anyone who recognises this man, or saw someone of this description in a silver BMW on the Cowley Road on the morning of the assault, to contact police immediately."

Police have not released any further details.

On Saturday, October 1, a 48-year-old woman said she was attacked at the Turf Tavern, in Bath Place, off Holywell Street, Oxford, during the early evening. Then, on Thursday, October 27, a 20-year-old woman who had walked down the Cowley Road was followed into South Park from Morrell Avenue and raped.

Speaking after the incident in Wolvercote, Det Insp Cecilia Agger of Oxford CID said: "I would like to reassure people that we are taking these incidents very seriously. The forensic work is being completed as quickly as possible to give us the best possible chance of catching an offender in each case."
