Banbury United are sweating on the fitness of Andy Baird ahead of tonight's Southern League Premier Division home clash against Evesham United.

The former Wycombe striker is waiting for the all-clear from doctors after having stitches removed from the nose injury which forced him to miss Saturday's 1-1 draw at Gloucester City.

Ex-Aston Villa youngster Stuart Bridges, who also missed the game, is hoping to shake off a hamstring strain in time.

Banbury give a late test to defender Chris Jackson (groin), who played on Satur- day despite being only half-fit after Wayne Blossom arrived late. The defender, who had been working in the morning, was delayed in traffic caused by a crash.

Les Robinson is added to the squad.

They are without long-term injury victims Darren Pond (knee) and John Gardner (groin).

Banbury Utd: from Tricker, Jackson, Kinch, Sullivan, Fuller, Redknap, Stanbridge, Lamb, Gooderick, Blossom, McKay, Potter, Blossom, Johnson, Nicholls, Baird, Bridges, Robinson.
