Peter Down in his 1935 PA MG MOTORING nostalgia was on display in Abingdon on Sunday, September 11, at the annual Abingdon Works Car Show at Rye Farm meadows.
The show was started 12 years ago as part of the annual Gala put on by Abingdon Lions, but because of a membership and funding crisis two years ago the Abingdon MG Works committee took over the event.
Visitors mingled with MGs, Rileys, Austin Healeys and later models from the British Motor Corporation stable and British Leyland.
Peter Down is pictured in his 1935 PA MG which he has owned for 47 years.
The latest MGF and MGTFs, built before the collapse of MG Rover earlier this year, were also on display.
The MG factory at Abingdon closed in 1980 after 50 years.
This year marks the 50th anniversary since the MGA was built and 60 years since the RM Riley was first made in Coventry, before production moved to Abingdon.
