A FORMER Manchester United star is brewing a plan to transform Oxfordshire's coffee business at a stroke.
Midfielder Mike Fleming was in the squad that won the European Cup in the sixties and was mates with George Best and Bobby Charlton.
Now he wants to score with his new showroom Caffe Espresso in Station Road, Brize Norton.
"What I am trying to establish is one of the most unique set-ups in the coffee industry," he said.
Mike joined the Red Devils aged just 16 - although he had been a life-long Man City fan. He said: "It was a great experience because like any footballer to be privileged to play for the greatest team in Europe was a feat in itself."
But his career was cut short by injury when he was 21 and he had to retire, fuelling his interest in the coffee business.
His new showroom will promote "the entire coffee-making experience", offering people the chance to leisurely taste different coffees and choose coffee-making machines.
He lives in the area and now coaches Clanfield youth team. His son Ross, 12, has appeared at the Oxford United School of Excellence. His other son, James, 13, is enrolled at Swindon Town.
