HOLLYWOOD glitz and glamour came to the Oxford Union last night with a visit by two of Tinseltown's brightest stars, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck, pictured.

Ben, who shot to fame after co-writing and starring in the hit movie Good Will Hunting, is in Britain to promote his new film, a romantic comedy called Chasing Amy. He gave a talk and answered questions during the evening.

Gwyneth, star of the new film Sliding Doors and a former fiance of Brad Pitt, sat in the audience with visitors and students throughout the evening.

Later, Ben introduced a special screening of Chasing Amy at the Phoenix Cinema in Walton Street.

The Union's president, Ellie Blagborough, told the Oxford Mail: "The evening was really good.

"There were some good questions and lots of laughs.

"He was very exuberant and seemed very committed to what he was doing."
