ELVIS Presley fans Paul Oliver and Mandy Bywaters knew exactly how they wanted to celebrate their wedding - as a tribute to the star.
Instead of traditional wedding dress, the bride, groom, best man, bridesmaids, pages, parents and many of the guests donned rock and roll clothes for the wedding at North Leigh Church with the full blessing of the vicar.
Paul, 31, from Yarnton, is a life-long fan of Elvis though Mandy, 24, from North Leigh, admits she knew little about him when she first met Paul.
"To be honest I didn't know his songs but I was soon won over. Our special tune is I Can't Help Falling in Love With You," she said.
Mandy's mother, Liz Bywaters, helped make Mandy a 1950s style dress as well as polka dot skirts and waistcoats so the three bridesmaids and two pages looked the part. Paul, his best man Alan Berry and Mandy's father Terry Bywaters also donned the gear.
Guests arriving for the wedding on Saturday were greeted by a selection of Elvis's hits instead of traditional organ music and Paul and Mandy picked Love Me Tender Love Me Do rather than hymns.
The reception at the Yarnton Royal British Legion Club was followed by a rock and roll disco to the sounds of the 1950s and 1960s.
The vicar, the Rev Ross Collins said: "It was quite an unusual request but I work to the principle a wedding day is the couple's day.
