DO you have any memories of the Cowley car plant and the models it produced?

As part of the run-up to the launch of the new Rover 75 in spring, 1999, Wednesday Wheels plans to turn the clock back on car production in Oxford by spotlighting the models which have come off the assembly lines . . . from the original Morris Oxford onwards.

Last week we spotlighted Moyra DaBinett, whose maiden name was Brown, who helped assemble manual illustrations for Morris cars which were shipped abroad in kit form.

We particularly want to hear from former Cowley workers with memories - and pictures - of the models they produced - from cars to fridges, tanks and Spitfires. Or did you have fond memories of owning a Cowley classic? Write to Roy Cooper, Wednesday Wheels, Oxford Mail, Osney Mead, Oxford, OX2 OEJ. Or alternatively email dduffy@nqo.com
