THERE'S everything to run for - well, almost - as the Oxford Mail Cross-Country League reaches its climax with the final round at Drayton School, Banbury this Sunday (10am).

Headington's Alison Hirst tops the ladies' overall standings by just one point from her club colleague Jude Craft.

Headington boasted nine finishers in the top 20 and that consistency sees them holding the top two positions in the women's team standings.

Radley's Gill Dean is a clear leader in the Vet 45 category and could pick up both titles if she confirms her starting place this Sunday.

Headington also lead the way in Division 1 of the men's overall standings with Gary Harris, John Pritchard and Jethro Lennox spearheading their defence of the title.

Improving Banbury will be hoping to at least claim third place behind Headington and Oxford City

The men's title has already gone to Bourton Roadrunner Dennis Walmsley who cannot be caught after winning the first three races.

The Banbury race will be over the usual County Championship course. TOP TEN PLACINGS
