FORMER Scotland under 21 scrum half Jamie Weston was last night given the task of following the successful Norman Celliers as captain of Oxford University RFC.

Celliers inspired the Dark Blues to a 16-13 victory over Cambridge in December, their first win for six years.

Weston, 24, whose grandfather played for Scotland, has experience of leadership, having captained top Scottish club Watsonians last season, and deputised for Oxford when Celliers was injured earlier in this campaign.

Prop forward Hayden Jeffreys was elected secretary.
