FANCY seeing some of the top riders in the world in action on your doorstep this season?

Then the British Superbike Championship, which kicks into action on Sunday, March 26, at the world-famous Brands Hatch circuit in Kent, writes John Gilbride.

It should offer you enough spills and thrills to ensure most of your weekends are fully occupied.

The season opener will see the debut of new team mates, British No 2 Chris Walker and double-British Supersports champion John Crawford, both competing for honours on the Suzuki GSX-R750 factory machine for the first time in a British Championship race.

The highly-rated new Suzuki partnership is set to be a big hit with the fans eager to see if Walker can go one better than last year when he was narrowly beaten to top spot by Aussie Troy Bayliss on a Ducati.

Nick Barnes, of Suzuki Motorcycles, said: "We're confident that both Chris and John will provide more than enough entertainment to keep fans excited on the racing front and while they take care of 'on-track' matters our Suzuki village display will continue to offer more and more to interest race-goers off the track." Other circuits for the season include Silverstone, Donington,Thruxton and Snetterton.
