Newcomers Kidlington add all-rounder Mark Strong, who was at Stokenchurch last season, to their ranks in Division 3A of the Classic Press Cherwell Cricket League.

Bruce Ford and Aussie leg-spinner Tim Bayliss will back up the club's bowling attack which again is spearheaded by skipper Nick Johnson.

A formidable batting line-up will include Shailish Pradhu, Steve Reynolds, John Kitson and county under 17 player Eddie Wilmot.

Horspath, who are to be led by 19-year-old Robbie Eason fresh from his winter playing Down Under, have lost Ian Evans to Oxford.

However, this could give left-handed batsman and off-break bowler Chris Penner the chance to demonstrate his skills. It's hoped that all-rounder Andrew Parke will also figure in more games this season. Abingdon have lost experienced run-maker Graham Scott to Cumnor, and Ed Tilley, but have recruited batsman Dave Wadsworth.

Wallingford have lost all-rounder James Smart but gain Oxfordshire over 50s seamer Trevor Spindler from Bletchingdon.

In Division 3B, South African Wesley Morrick arrives at Aston Rowant to supplement the bowling of Nick O'Hara and Chris Eaton. Youngsters such as Ryan Dutton and Mark Walker also look set to be pressing for places.

Bletchingdon will miss the bowling of Andy Williams and Spindler, but are hoping that both Martin Howe and David Burgess will be able to turn out more regularly to bolster the batting.

Morris Motors hope that leg-spinner Faisal Chaudry will help counter the loss of Ali Shah, who may miss much of the season for domestic reasons. Oxford Universities' Salman Khan should again become available later in the season.

In Division 3C, TIDDINGTON are back in the fold after a spell with the Thames Valley League.

Jeff Higgs is expected to be to the fore on the batting front with left-arm quickie Neil Smith doing likewise with the ball. With a number of youngsters coming on, Tiddington aim to make an impression.

Fellow newcomers Wolverton 2nd take a step into the unknown, but are looking forward to the challenge.

Young Bucks county players such as Alistair Day, Lee Cook, Asim Iqbal and Michael Bates will doubtless be keen to make their mark.

Princes Risborough have medium-pacer Adam Zaziemski on board, and hope that opening batsman Matt Adams will be available for most of the season now that he has finished his studies.

Stokenchurch are relying on the recruitment of Zameer Al-Hassan and Hadir Malik to help compensate for the loss of Mark Strong. In the meantime, the club is forging ahead with its plans for a new pavilion.
