Fear of the dentist should be a thing of the past for some schoolchildren.
More than 300 pupils from St Nicolas School, Boxhill Walk, Abingdon, are taking part in National Smile Week next week.
On May 17 and 18, 30 five-year-olds from the school will go on a tour of Ock Street Dental Practice in a bid to make children feel comfortable about visiting the dentist.
A poster-designing and poetry-writing competition is also being run.
