Oxford Cavaliers sent Rugby League Conference III newcomers South London Storm packing 62-4 with a blistering performance.

Their scorching offensive display was matched only by the weather as they calmed the Storm with 42 unanswered points in the first half.

Cavaliers opened ther scoring after ten minutes with a Simon Martoo try and from the kick-off, he combined with scrum half Caro Wild for an 80-yard run which ended in a score for Wild under the posts.

Tries followed from Fairhurst and Lacey before Martoo added his second with a jinking 60-yard dash. Wild added another solo try and the onslaught continued with tries from loose forward Duane Millard and winger Kelvin Jordan.

Centre Simon Hicks converted seven of his 12 chances. Second-half tries were added by Flatman, Jordan, Fairhurst and Ross before South London replied with a try from Marod Braisar.

The home side showed admirable commitment, but the fitness and discipline of the Cavaliers proved too much for them.

Cavaliers Development side, Hampden, went down 32-16 to South London, with Steve Robinson putting in a series of bone-rattling tackles.

**PLAYERS interested in joining Cavaliers can attend training at Marston Ferry Road on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7.30pm.
