Oxford Cheetahs' out-of-touch Australian Mark Lemon is hoping to put his nightmare time at Cowley behind him when his team visit Peterborough in their Elite League encounter tonight (July 7, 7.30pm).

Lemon has been beset with injuries and mechanical problems ever since his return to Cowley early last month.

Oxford fans well remember the dashing rider who flew around Sandy Lane in his first stint with Cheetahs, and even more so the night he came back with Poole and scored an 18-point maximum. However, since his second spell here, everything has gone pear-shaped. He is just about getting over his injuries and now it's his bikes that are playing up.

He ruined his best engine at Wolverhampton on Monday and the new engine he bought is not working.

Following successive defeats at Wolves on Monday and King's Lynn on Wednesday, everything points to Cheetahs making it a hat-trick of losses.

And there's still Coventry to come tomorrow and Poole next Wednesday.

Poole's England ace Scot Nicholls comes in for the injured Jimmy Nilsen tonight, and Shane Parker has been booked for Saturday's trip to Coventry.
