A new online learning system to deliver electronic courses to 10,000 employees has been launched by the Unipart Group of Companies.
The system, The Virtual U, is a development of the Unipart U - the company's own corporate university which has been delivering specialist training since 1993.
The Virtual U will deliver courses direct to personal computers.
Employees will set up personal development plans to deliver the skills and knowledge required for their jobs. They will be able to access courses and study on-line with the help of subject area experts and mentors.
Unipart will also become one of the first companies in the UK to provide employees with Government-backed Learndirect programme.
