Oxford's team of Karl Bushell, Jeremy Flint and Ellis Bicknell lost a 3-0 lead as they went down 6-4 to in the Midland Senior League. Bushell won two sets and Flint and Bicknell one apeice.
Forum boys Greg Boone, Sam Harrison and Stewart Hamilton took part in the National Junior League at Chippenham and recorded 6-0 wins over Chilton Trinity and Witney, a 5-1 win over Chippenham D, and a 4-2 victory over Chiltern B.
The only defeat came against Bournemouth B, 4-2. Boon and Hamilton both won eight and lost two, while Harrison won seven and lost three.
In their first match of the season, Oxfordshire Juniors recorded an excellent 6-4 win over a Bucks team who had won their first match 8-2.
John Camilleri (Banbury) and Greg Boone (Forum) won both of their singles and for the girls, Joanne O'Donovan (forum) and Alex Childs (Banbury) won one each.
Greg Boone and Sam Harrison (Forum) and Stewart Hamilton (St James) represent Oxford in the first Midland Junior League match against Gloucester at the Forum on Saturday (2pm).
