Thame United joint manager Andy Sinnott says he is scared to death of making changes to his table-topping side, writes Richard Tilley.

United beat second-placed Boreham Wood last Saturday to make it 12 wins in a row in Ryman League Division 1.

And Sinnott says he is terrified of tinkering in case the winning formula disappears.

"As a boss you're just frightened to touch anything," he said. "You're probably best of just leaving it all well alone."

Thame are away to eighth-placed Staines tomorrow, and Sinnott is aware that his side's remarkable run has made them a big target for opposing teams.

"We're a prize scalp now, and we've got to accept it," he said. "Staines didn't play last Saturday, and they came to watch us play. You can bet that they're going to be prepared and raring to have a crack at us."

Central defender Andy Williams and striker Wayne Cort are both expected to have recovered from thigh strains. Former Oxford United striker Mark Druce is rated 50-50 for Oxford City's trip to Worthing in Division 1.

Druce, from Kidlington, came off with a groin strain just 25 minutes into Saturday's defeat at home to Aylesbury the first game of a loan spell from Woking.

But defender Julian Dark, another City man to come off with a groin strain against Aylesbury, is expected to be fit.

Definitely out, however, is midfielder Simon Abercrombie, who was carried off with damaged ankle ligaments at the weekend.

Youngster Kamran Abbassi misses the trip with a back injury.
