Newscaster Sir Trevor McDonald is backing the campaign to raise 4m for a new hospice in Oxford.
He has agreed to become patron of the appeal to fund Douglas House, to be built alongside the world-famous Helen House hospice in Leopold Street, east Oxford.
Sir Trevor has backed Helen House in the past, providing the voice-over for a promotional video.
