A motorcyclist has died and several motorists injured in a spate of road accidents across Oxfordshire.
The motorcyclist - a managed between 35 to 45 - died when his Kawasaki was involved in a head-on crash on the A361 in north Oxfordshire. Police have not yet released his name.
Firefighters from Banbury cut free the female driver of a Nissan car involved in the accident, which happened between Chipping Warden and Wardington on Saturday.
The woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to The Horton Hospital, Banbury.
In a separate accident, another motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after a multiple crash that blocked part of the M40 for three hours.
Two Ford Fiesta cars and a Honda motorcycle were involved in the crash which happened on the northbound carriageway close to the exit slipway at Lewknor at 9.40am yesterday.
The motorcyclist was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with multiple fractures. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Two women were treated for minor injuries after an accident that caused major delays on the northbound A34 between Weston-on-the-Green and the M40 at about 11.30am yesterday.
