Cowley Workers completed the league and cup double when they defeated AFC Jericho 2-0 in the R T Harris Oxford City FA Premier Cup final at Morris Motors.

Jericho played well in the first half, Jamie Power defending well and Danny Williams looking dangerous up front.

Cowley Workers broke the deadlock when Garry Trinder's run and cross from the right was blasted home by captain Mike Bateman.

Player-manager Kevin McMahon then finished with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, which beat the excellent Vic Armstrong in goal.

In Division 1, meanwhile, Nuffield Arms slipped up, losing 5-0 at home to North Oxford Res.

Only one goal from left back Ashley Richards separated the teams at half-time. Kenny Godfrey's second-half hat-trick, which included two superb lobs, and Richards's second, gave North the nap hand.

Oxford Community Church drew 2-2 at Beckley Sports. Benji Cuff scored both for Beckley. The Church equalised twice, first through Chris Reynolds, then James Riley.
