A swimming pool that closed after children developed a mystery rash is likely to re-open in the next 24 hours.
Two of three water tests carried out at Peers swimming pool in Sandy Lane, Littlemore, Oxford, have proved negative.
The pool was closed last week after children from Mabel Prichard Special School at Littlemore reported a mystery rash, similar to nettle rash, on their stomachs and elbows, after they took part in a holiday scheme at the pool.
Lifeguards called in environmental health experts who advised that the pool be closed as a precaution until tests were completed.
Manager Tim Stevens said he was confident that the third test would be negative and the pool would reopen by April 26.
He said: "So far the results are negative. We are waiting for one more. Once that comes through we should receive the all clear from the environmental health officers.
"I don't expect it will be more than 24 hours before we can open again.
