Launton Ladies secured the runners-up spot in the Southern Region Premier Division with a 2-1 victory over Gosport.

Julie Phillips broke the deadlock five minutes after half-time when Gail Langan was brought down in the area. Langan required hospital treatment after damaging her knee in the tackle.

Keeper Sarah Clutterbuck made some fine saves to preserve Launton's lead, before Phillips scored No 2.

Although Gosport pulled a goal back late on, Launton held on.

A gutsy performance by Mansfield Road Women saw them overcome a bewildered Wycombe Wanderers Ladies 3-1 to book their place in the Southern League Cup quarter-finals.

Mansfield Road's goals came from Wheeldon, Croxson and Livingston-Jones, the visitors hitting back to score a consolation when the home side were reduced to ten through injury.
