Oxfordshire's friendly with Banbury tomorrow has been called off because the north Oxfordshire club's ground is too wet.

The county's next game is the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy (formerly NatWest Trophy) first-round clash with Huntingdonshire at Challow & Childrey CC on Tuesday (11am).

Ian and Philip Evans, the 19-year-old sons of former skipper Rupert Evans, are in the Oxfordshire side.

The twins have both played for the county before, but it will be the first time they have done so together.

*Bicester & North Oxford have signed Rodney Davison as their overseas player for the 2001 season.

Davison, 31, is a left-handed opening batsman from Sydney. He has played over 30 matches for New South Wales, scoring 4 centuries and 11 fifties, with a top score of 169.

Club spokesman Dave Clark commented: "Rod's experience of first-class cricket in Australia will be an invaluable asset to the club as we look to build a side capable of challenging for Premier League honours."

Bicester have also agreed a deal with Courtesy 1st Vehicle Solutions, who will be providing the club with a sponsored car for the season.
