Rover Oxford Ladies welcome back Flo Cooke, Lisa Deller and Clare Dunne for their final three Inter-League play-off matches, which all take place at the National Hockey Stadium, Milton Keynes, this weekend.

But Rover have been dealt a blow with captain Lorraine Furney ruled out of the finale.

The three games will determine whether Rover win promotion to the National League for the first time.

They take on Kettering, Birmingham University and Leyland Motors tomorrow, Sunday and Monday respectively.

Furney, a vital member of the team because of her fitness and the amount of ground she covers, twisted her ankle in last Sunday's 1-1 draw with Cambridge City and is rated very doubtful.

Coach Bob Phillips said: "We need to win at least two of these three games, and hope other results go our way, but there are two National League places up for grabs, so we have high hopes.

"Saturday morning's match against Kettering, who came down from the National League, will be crucial.

"I know from my Oxford Hawks days that when you're in that position, you don't give up your National League place without a fight."

*Oxford Hawks Under 14 Colts had a triumphant day at the Mercian League finals, finishing as league champions, and picking up the Mercian Under 14 Shield, as well as the trophy for player of the final, which went to goalkeeper James Crisp.

Braintree took an early lead, before Will Power equalised . Braintree again went ahead early in the second half, but Andrew Baggs made it 2-2.

Extra time produced no further score, Crisp keeping Hawks in the contest with two astonishing saves.

The first series of penalty flicks ended 2-2. In sudden death, Baggs, who had struck the post with his first flick, volunteered to try again and made no mistake.

Crisp completed Hawks' day with another great save.
