A man with a cigarette lighter shaped like a gun caused chaos on an express train near Didcot last night (Sunday).
The express was halted just short of Didcot Parkway station after staff reported seeing a male passenger with a firearm.
The train stopped for 20 minutes while a Thames Valley Police armed response unit rushed to the scene.
Passengers were evacuated from the platform while the firearms officers went aboard the train.
British Transport Police said the 30-year-old man was held for questioning for about 15 minutes and then released without charge.
