Cowley Community Centre C player Pete Hall was the star of the week in the Morrells ODDA Summer League.

Hall produced no fewer than four maximums to help his side to a thrilling 5-4 victory over the Shears in the Premier Section.

Lyndon Richards was another maximum man in Cricketers C's 5-4 victory over Section 2 rivals Railway Social Club B, the latter coming back well from 4-0 down.

The Three Horseshoes maintained their fine start to the season, notching their third straight 8-1 success when they visited the Nelson. Des Brackett beat Alan Jarvey 3-1 to score his side's only success.

Kit Young hit two 180s for Quarry Gate against the Plough

The Ladies' Section 2 match between New Club and visiting Black Swan saw the hosts get off to a good start when wins from Kay Malliagh and Anita Blissett gave them a 2-0 lead.

But the visitors hit back hard to go 4-2 up through Woodward, Holdsworth, Parry and Clarke, and they carried their good form into the pairs, winning 2-1 for a fine 6-3 success.
