Thame B edged to the narrowest of victories over Bicester D in Division 4 of the Wilson 3-Pair League.
Going into the last round with the scores tied at 3-3, Thame scraped home after winning two thrilling matches.
Their first pair of Tony Morris and Christine Gray were taken all the way by Dave Scott and Pam Newall, before eventually winning 2-6, 6-2, 6-0.
Carl Pincott and Beryl Plater were Thame's other final-round winners, beating Richard Goold and Moira Laing 6-4, 7-6.
For Bicester, Robert Pink and Sue Wakelin picked up 1.5 rubbers, with their other two winning one apiece.
Banbury C romped to a 7-2 victory over their D team. Dave Bone and Marie Hirons were in fine form at first pair, dropping just one set all afternoon when they lost a tie-break to Stuart Alcorn and Carol Ashby.
John Hamer and Val Swann also collected 2.5 rubbers at second pair, their dropped set coming against Steve Rogers and Cheryl Messer.
Rogers and Messer collected Banbury D's only victory, beating Eric Barlow and Penny Simpson 6-2, 6-1.
