Abingdon Vale held on to top spot after shooting out Kidlington for 60 to clinch a 54-run victory as James Cook took the superb figures of 7-30.

Vale had struggled for runs earlier, making only 114-9 as Nayyer (5-55) and Joe Demellow (4-55) did the damage for Kidlington.

However, medium-pacer Cook then ran through their batting to ensure Vale maximum points.

Kingston Bagpuize reached 224-7 against hosts Henley 2nd, as in-form opener Martin Shepherd made 68.

After tea, the pitch seemed to play all sorts of tricks and Henley were skittled out for just 125 and a 99-run defeat.

Simon Kempster took 4-60 as Cropredy battled their way to 160-7 on a decidedly difficult Aylesbury 2nd pitch.

Australian Richard Lynch then also found conditions to his liking, finishing with 4-36 as the home side were shot out for 110 in the 37th over.

Bicester & North Oxford 2nds' abysmal run continued as their ten men were dismissed for 136 by promotion-chasing Oxford & Horspath's Alex Pike (5-39).

Ronnie O'Sullivan scored a fine half century before being run out, while young Harpinder Virdee also provided some resistance.

But Julian Lawton Smith (63 no) and Chris Penner (41 no) soon saw Oxford home by nine wickets.

Dan Pigott led the way with 54 as Bledlow Ridge reached 202-6 on a damp track at Bletchley 2nd.

In reply, Bletchley were dismissed for 135, Mike Barron (4-22) and Andy Binnie (3-35) sealing a 67-run victory.
