Oxford Bridge Club is celebrating its 50th anniversary by encouraging people to take up the game.
The club boasts international players Robert Sheehan and Alan Truscott, and Eric Bowtell, former bridge correspondent of the Oxford Mail's sister paper, the Oxford Times, among its members. One of the youngest women to win the European women's bridge championship, 25-year-old Abby Walker, has also been a regular at the club. Club spokesman Brenda Harris said the club was one of the friendliest in the region.
