Nicki Pedersen and Andy Smith are the latest stars to join up in the annual ice extravaganza at Telford on Sunday, February 17.

Defending champion Jan Staechmann, the former Oxford Cheetah, will be there to defend his title, where he will be joined by Anders Henriksson, Mario Jirout and Britain's Wayne Broadhurst, who filled the next three places last year.

Now in its 17th successive year, England will take on the Rest of the World, plus the Speedway Star Best Pairs Knockout at 3.00pm, with the British Open Championsip being staged at 7.30.

The Support Oxford Speedway campaign are holding a video horse race night at the Kidlington Green Club in Kidlington on Saturday, January 26 at 7.30pm.

Admission will be £2 with horse sponsorship available at £3. Full betting will be available on the races with all proceeds going to the SOS fund.

The campaign are also launching their own website, which will carry all the news and events for SOS.

They will be running barbecues for seven of this year's Grand Prix meetings.

Incidentally, long-time supporter Brian Hamilton is no longer part of the SOS campaign.

Season tickets for Oxford Cheetahs are now available and are priced at £200 for adults if ordered before January 31 and £210 afterwards. For concessions, the price is £115, and £120 after January 31.
