Rover Oxford cruised to a 3-0 win away to Division 2 bottom club ETESSA, but were disappointed not to have improved their goal difference further.

Ali Fry put Rover ahead early on, but it took until after half-time before Rob Lawrence made it two after their best spell of the game.

Thoughts that the floodgates would then open were dispelled as Rover took their foot off the pedal and they were grateful for excellent defending by Paul Tappin and Ian Kerr.

Gerald Curran buried a first-time shot from Drew Vermeulen's cross to settle any nerves for the third goal.

Andy Nadine scored a brace as Witney were held to a 3-3 draw at home by Harrow.

In a goalless first half, Witney defended well with skipper Matthews and Paul Green making some great tackles.

In an explosive opening to the second half, Harrow took the lead but this was wiped out by Nadine from a goalmouth scramble.

Harrow regained the lead, only for Witney drew level again through Pat Daniel, and then Nadine made it 3-2. However, Witney were unable to keep out a Harrow short corner and had to settle for a point.

Wallingford continued their run of victories by beating Enfield 5-1 at the Hithercroft.

Wallingford's first goal came and two more followed from Golding and Barber again.

Enfield pulled one back earlt in the second half but further goals from Gale and Jones sealed victory.

Other scorers: Rover Oxford 2nd 4 (T Armitage, A Wynde, M Willis 2), Slough 2nd 2; Witney 3rd 0, Eastcote 3rd 3.
