Students have been given an insight into the running of their local council.
Members of the student council at Oxford School spent a day with staff at Oxford City Council. The project was the first of a series of events being organised by the council to demonstrate its role to school pupils. Students from the Glanville Road school, inspected the work of the cleansing, planning and parks departments, and joined Lord Major Peter Moss for lunch and a question and answer session.
