Oxford Devils stayed in contention for National League Division 1 honours with a morale-boosting 79-65 win at Liverpool on Sunday.
A strengthened Liverpool team gave the Devils problems in the first period, but Joe Milnes and Gerry Armstrong kept them ahead with some good shooting.
The second quarter was just as tight as the Devils went in 37-32 up at the break.
As usual, the Devils' third period form was their best as they opened up the game with Phil Alexander and Arthur Robinson finding their range.
Liverpool tried to bounce back in the closing quarter, but the Devils maintained their lead to run out worthy winners.
Leading scorers: Joe Milnes 21, Phil Alexander 19.
